Achiever!
Brainchild's Achiever! is a highly instructional, web-based program built on your state standards. No other program gives you multimedia instruction, practice state tests, and formative assessment for adjusting instruction on each of your state standards.
Most online test prep products give lots of quizzes but little or no instruction. Struggling learners need instruction, not just practice. Achiever! not only engages students with hours of instruction, but also provides scores and standards-based reports on individual, class, and school-wide performance.
A personal learning plan is automatically generated for each student to know how they are performing on the standards, and how to "close the gap" in their weak areas. Teachers can let students self-direct themselves through the standards. Standards-based assignments can be generated to match classroom instruction.
How It Works
- A Pretest is given on each Content Standard. A Review Mistakes feature takes the students back through the items they answered incorrectly, and shows them solutions while the problems are fresh in the students' minds.
- When scores are low, Multimedia Instruction teaches the concept.
- A Study Mode offers questions with immediate, detailed feedback. Students solve each question before they move on.
- A Post Test is taken on the state standard when the student feels he or she is ready. Scores are stored in a variety of management reports, including NCLB disaggregated data.
